The Nursery

Here are some pictures of the nursery.

Since we did not find out the gender of the baby we decided to go with a neutral decor.

We really love the ducks, dragonflies and frogs.

The frog and dragonfly are so cute.

This is the crib and changing table we pick at Target.

The crib is a 4-in-1.

Which means that it will change from a crib to a toddler bed, day bed and a full bed

The color is espresso - a really dark brown

If the baby is a boy then we are going to leave the Cardinal stuff up.

However, if the baby is a girl than we are going to take down the Cardinal stuff and make the room a girls room.

Since we got the crib and changing table at Target there was no chest to match.

So we found a bookcase that matched and bought baskets for storage. The changing table has the same baskets. It was Michael idea and I just love it.

This is the glider that Michael's parents bought for us. I picked it out at Babies R Us.
It is their tradition to buy each one of their kids a glider for the first baby.
I just love it! It is so comfy, I can't wait to rock the baby in it.
The blanket is a gift from Michael's Brother Rich and his wife Kim.
Kim makes the blankets. It is so cute!

Couples Baby Shower

Here are some of the pictures from the couples baby shower that our friends Lisa, Steve and Jenny threw us on November 9. It was so nice of them to do that for us. We have some great friends!!

Update

Well, it has been a while since I have posted an update. The last time I posted was week 20. I am now at week 34. Michael and I are so excited about the changes the baby is making. We can't believe how much the baby moves. I think it is so cute when the baby gets the hick-ups. Which is happening more and more often now. We are so excited that the baby will be here soon. We still have not found out the gender of the baby. However, we will let you know as soon as we find out, when the baby arrives. The baby is doing great

We finally finished the nursery. We have decided not to paint the room. We are living in an apartment right now, hopefully in the next year we will be moving into a house. So then we will paint and make the room a great place. Pictures soon

I have also had three showers. My family, Michael's family and a couples shower given by my friends. pictures soon

20 Week Ultrasound

Our 20 week ultra sound was on September 8, 2008. I was so excited to see what our baby would look like. I could tell right away what I was looking at. Michael on the other hand had a little bit of trouble. Some of the pictures are labled, the ones not labled are of as much of the whole body as the tech could get. We heard the heart beat again which makes me relaxed knowing that every thing is ok. The baby weights 12 oz the same as a can of soda, but not sure how long. All I know is that my stomach is big and only going to get bigger. We did not find out the gender, however even if we wanted to we could not. The leggs we curled up to the belly and the feet we crossed, so there was NO way to know. Good for me because I would have been tempted to find out.

My next ultra sound is October 17, 2008. I am excited that I get another one so soon. I get that because the baby was laying on its back and there were some measurements the tech could not get. So, YEAH I get more pictures!!

I am feeling much better, except for the sleep thing. I get up like every 2-3 hours to go to the bathroom. NOT fun, I need my sleep! I am also starting to get hungry all the time and I really mean ALL the time. Must mean the baby is growing, I can't wait!

I just can't wait to meet the wonderful little baby growing inside of me. I love it so much already!!

16 week check-up

I am now at 16 weeks. I went for my check-up today. I heard the baby's heartbeat and every thing sounds great. The Doc also measured my belly to make sure that I was growing at the right pace. Every thing checked out just fine. Except for my blood pressure, that was a little high. Although I am not surprise, right now I am a little stressed out with school starting. The Doc said that it was nothing to worry about since my blood pressure has never been high before.

I am feeling much better now. I am pretty much eating normally again. With a few set back here and there. Also the last few night my sciatic nerve has not been that bad. Hopefully that will go away.

Well, the next ultra sound is on Sept 8. I am really excited to what the baby looks like now. We are choosing not to find out the sex of the baby. However, I will post the pictures and you can decide for your self what you think it might be.

Update

Every thing is going well. On July 15th we had our 12 week check up. We heard the heartbeat and everything sounds good. I am feeling much better now. I am able to eat more normally. However, I am not sleeping very well. The way the placenta and baby are positioned is pinching the nerves in my thighs. It makes my thighs go numb and when I move it sends a shooting pain down my leg only when I am laying down. It does not effect me too much during the day.
Michael and I have also decided that we are not going to find out what the sex of the baby is. We have thought long and hard about this decision and we want to be totally surprised.

Sorry but there are no new pictures this week.

My next appointment will be at 20 weeks in September. We will have pictures to see then.

First Ultra Sound

Here are the first pictures of our baby. Michael and I are so excited. The baby is doing well and every thing is going great. I am still feeling sick but not all the time. However, it is all worth it!! This ultra sound was taking on June 11. I was eight weeks.

Hello

Hi family and friends.

Well Michael and I are enlarging our family.

First there was two.

Then there was three when we got Isabella.

Now we are expanding to four.

Michael and I are going to have a baby!
Things are going well for Baby Storey. It has a heart beat and its lungs are starting to form. I am taking good care of the little one. I know I am keeping it warm but well fed is really hard. The little one just does not like it when I get up early. I get a little sick. Anyway, the first picture is going to be taken on June 11. So I will make sure you get to see it. Right now I am 7 weeks but, the little one will be here before you know it.
